Chelsea eye summer deal: Antonio Conte keen on bargain signing

CHELSEA are set to make another move for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon in the summer.

The Scotland international was linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge last month.

The 34-year-old was being lined up as a replacement for Asmir Begovic, who looked set to join Bournemouth.

But the deal failed to materialise and Celtic were reluctant to let Gordon go.

However the Evening Standard claim Begovic is likely to join Bournemouth in the summer.

And the Blues remain interested in signing Gordon as cover for Thibaut Courtois.

It is claimed contract talks between Gordon and Celtic have stalled, raising the likelihood of deal being done.

Should Chelsea sign Gordon, it would mark a return to the Premier League for the goalkeeper after five years at Sunderland.
