Georginio Wijnaldum: Chelsea are to blame for Leicester's dreadful season - this is why

N'GOLO KANTE's move to Chelsea is the reason for Leicester's recent struggles, claims Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Leicester are in turmoil this season and are managerless after the sacking of Claudio Ranieri and sit just one point above the relegation zone.

The Foxes have a tough task to turn things around on Monday night against an in-form Liverpool side who beat Tottenham 2-0 last time out.

And according to midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, the Premier League champions woes are all down to the loss of one man - N'Golo Kante.

"Of course they have a bad run this season, they are not doing that well compared to last season," Wijnaldum told Sky Sports.

"But I think they are still a good team, almost all the players stayed.

"Kante is a big miss for them, because he was a really important player in the midfield.

"He keeps everything together and he was one of the main reasons they were champions last season.

"Because he left, it makes it way more difficult for everyone in the team."

Kante joined Chelsea last summer for £30million and he has since become a crucial player for Antonio Conte, making 27 appearances in all competitions.
