However, a blip in form at the turn of the New Year has seen the Reds slip to fifth in the table.
And Philippe Coutinho has admitted the Reds must turn things around as it is his and the club's plan to secure Champions League football for next season.
“From the start, the aim was to qualify for the Champions League,” Coutinho said.
“It is important for Liverpool to play in these competitions, fighting with the other great teams.
"Of course we have not given up anything.
"We expect to give great performances and to accomplish our goals.”
