Philippe Coutinho: Why Liverpool must be careful against Leicester

PHILIPPE COUTINHO has urged Liverpool not to underestimate Leicester like they did with Hull earlier this month.

Liverpool take on Leicester at the King Power stadium on Monday night (8pm).

The Reds face the Premier League champions at a difficult time for the club following the sacking of Claudio Ranieri.

However, Philippe Coutinho does not think it will be a walk-over and he has urged his team-mates not to underestimate the so-called lesser teams.

The Anfield club slipped up against Hull earlier this month - losing 2-0, and Coutinho wants to see a performance like the one against Tottenham.

“We have to get on the field 100 per cent focused and try to do the same as we did in the game with Tottenham," he said.

“We have to be focused from the first minute. We were not 100 per cent focused in the Hull game.

"I do not know why, sometimes it happens.

“In the second half, we came back better but, of course, in the Premier League if a team plays a first or second half badly, it becomes complicated.

“What we have to try to do is the same as we did in the game with Tottenham. That game should serve as an example - [we have to] play well from the first minute.”
