Marcelo Allende is a top target for Arsenal and was on trial with the club on three previous occasions last year.

And the 17-year-old midfielder has been back for a fourth spell with the Gunners this week.

The Chile Under-17 international was spotted in training photos alongside fellow countryman Alexis Sanchez.
And the Daily Mirror claim Allende could be close to finally earning a permanent deal with the club.

Allende is said to be one of the brightest young talents in Chile and impressed during the Under-17s World Cup in 2015.

He captained the side and scored twice to take his country into the round of 16 where he reportedly caught the eye of a number of top clubs.
Allende earned himself a move from his boyhood team Cobreloa - the same club where Sanchez was discovered - to Deportes Santa Cruz after the tournament

He has been likened to the Arsenal star in his homeland and he reportedly sees the 28-year-old as a role model.

Sanchez reportedly advised him to get bigger and build up his strength if he wanted to reach the top level.
