Real Madrid are on the lookout for a new centre-forward given Karim Benzema's stuttering form.

Despite sitting comfortably at the top of the La Liga table, a summer of change looks to be in the offing.

Benzema has scored just eight goals from 17 games so far this season.

It has been reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has grown frustrated with his team-mates troubles.
But, according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the former Manchester United star is very specific about who should replace Benzema.

Ronaldo wants to remain Madrid's talisman and is wary of a blockbuster name usurping him.

For that reason, he is against the club signing Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski has plundered home 33 goals from 37 games to further establish himself as one of the best strikers in Europe.
As well as the Poland international, Ronaldo also wants the club to turn down moves for Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Juventus' Paulo Dybala and Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani.

Instead, he would rather the club focus their efforts on luring Monaco hitman Kylian Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe has been linked with Manchester United and Don Balon claimed today Jose Mourinho could move for him if Madrid poach David De Gea.

But the 18-year-old is Ronaldo's preferred choice to lead the line next season and the fact he shares an agent in Jorge Mondes could influence a deal.
