Philippe Coutinho scored as Brazil beat Paraguay 3-0 in the early hours of this morning to book their place at the 2018 World Cup.

Barcelona star Neymar and Real Madrid ace Marcelo also netted for Brazil, although Neymar missed a penalty.

And after becoming the first nation to seal their place at the World Cup finals in Russia next year, Coutinho and Firmino have flown back to Liverpool on a private jet.
Firmino posted a picture alongside Coutinho on the plane with the caption: “And we are going to see you there.”

Liverpool host Everton at Anfield on Saturday (12.30pm) in the hostly-anticipated Merseyside derby.

Firmino also shared a snap of Coutinho wearing a magician’s hat, a tribute to his nickname ‘Little Magician’.
Coutinho grabbed the plaudits after his curling left-footed strike against Paraguay.

The 24-year-old has looked out-of-sorts for Liverpool since returning from his ankle injury in January.

But Coutinho could be getting back to form just in time to make a difference in the Merseyside derby.

Liverpool sit fourth, fourth points ahead of Manchester United and six off Arsenal, who both have two games in hand on them.
And the Reds know how vital their clash with Everton could be in determing whether they finish in the top four.

“It’s very important [to win], obviously it’s our aim [to finish in the top four],” Coutinho said.

“All the games are like finals and if we’re going to achieve our aim we need a lot of points.”
