It is said Mourinho thinks he could revitalise Varane’s career in Manchester.
Antoine Griezmann is United’s top target, while reports last night suggesting the Red Devils are eyeing up a £35million deal for Tottenham star Eric Dier.
Mourinho is expected to be given a sizeable kitty to splash out on players at the end of the season.
