Paul Scholes: This is what I really think about Manchester United star Paul Pogba

PAUL SCHOLES has leapt to the defence of Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba has been widely criticised following his world-record £89million transfer from Juventus to Manchester United last summer.

Jose Mourinho has hit out at Pogba’s critics, insisting the midfielder “does not care” what is said about him.

And Paul Scholes believes Pogba is actually having a good first season back at Old Trafford, having scored seven goals in 41 games.
"I think Pogba has done well," Scholes told Omnisport.

"I know he has had a little bit of criticism, but from what I have seen he is a brave young player.

"He is always willing to take the ball. He will always try stuff - he will try passes, he will try shots on goal. I think he has had a good first season, settling back into England.
It is not always easy, but I think he has done alright and he can only improve."

Pogba is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, missing France’s 2-0 defeat to Spain last night.

The 24-year-old is recovering well but is unlikely to be fit to face West Brom on Saturday (3pm).
