Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez plots £173m Barcelona raid for Neymar

REAL MADRID chief Florentino Perez will attempt to land Barcelona star Neymar this summer, according to reports.

Neymar is currently settled at Barcelona and under contract with the Catalan giants until 2021.

He has a release clause of £173m and and has struck up a strong relationship with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi to form a deadly frontline for Luis Enrique’s side.

But shock reports from Spanish publication Diario Gol claim Perez is ready to make an audacious attempt to lure him away from the Nou Camp this summer.
The report suggests Perez is willing to meet his release clause in the transfer window as he looks to provide Zinedine Zidane with a marquee signing.

With Real on the cusp of finishing off paying their debts for the purchases of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez, they are ready to throw their money into another long-term investment.

Neymar is also attracting interest from Manchester United with the Red Devils thought to be willing to meet his release clause and pay him £415,000 a week.
Should the 25-year-old snub moves to Barcelona or United, Perez will pursue Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann, Diario Gol claim.

Griezmann’s release clause stands at £86m, but their arch-rivals are unlikely to be willing to do business with them.

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Juventus star Paulo Dybala and Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe are also said to be on Real’s radar.
