Real Madrid planning to sell Cristiano Ronaldo: This Man United target could replace him

REAL MADRID are reportedly planning to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to China, according to reports.

Cristiano Ronaldo is Real Madrid's all-time leading scorer having scored 390 goals from 382 games since joining from Manchester United in 2009.

However, he has shown signs of waning this season despite Madrid's position at the top of La Liga.

The Portugal international has scored 26 goals so far this season - 15 less than Barcelona rival Lionel Messi.

Reports have suggested that club president Florentino Perez has grown increasingly frustrated with Ronaldo's inconsistent performances this season.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Madrid are planning to sell Ronaldo to China in the summer of 2018.

The 32-year-old signed a new five-year deal back in November but it is said he is not expected to see it out at the Santiago Bernabeu.

While Ronaldo wants an eventual move to the MLS, he could move to the Chinese Super League to further enhance his global standing.

The forward will pocket huge wages should he move to China and Madrid are already planning for a future without him.
The report says that the Champions League holders want Monaco's Kylian Mbappe to be Ronaldo's marquee replacement.

United are interested in signing him and Spanish radio station Cadena Cope claimed the forward was the subject of a £95million bid from the Red Devils.

But Madrid could now up their interest in the 18-year-old to poach him at the end of the season.

Should they fail, Juventus striker Paulo Dybala is another alternative.
