Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could take Real Madrid job if this happens

ARSENE WENGER could be offered the Real Madrid job at the end of the season, according to reports.

Wenger watched Arsenal hold Manchester City to a 2-2 draw this afternoon.

The Frenchman was booed by sections of the Gunners support with fans venting their fury at him after a string of recent setbacks.

He then admitted after the game he did not know how much longer he would be at the club.

And Spanish newspaper AS claim Wenger could soon be in charge of Real Madrid.
The Champions League holders are currently sitting comfortably at the top of the La Liga table.

But trigger-happy chief Florentino Perez could axe current boss Zinedine Zidane should they fail to maintain their impressive form.

Failure in the league or in Europe would place Zidane's position under threat - despite their stunning season so far.

Madrid have axed Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti in the past despite landing silverware in previous campaigns.

And Perez is not against sacking Zidane and replacing him with Wenger.

The Real chief has tried to appoint the Frenchman in the past only for him to commit to Arsenal.

But that could change if he leaves the club this summer, with Wenger already admitting he is not ready to retire just yet.
