Real Madrid’s transfer plan to affect Man United: This is the challenge they face

REAL MADRID’S pursuit of David de Gea may reportedly force Manchester United to spend big on AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Reports emerged yesterday Real have agreed a deal in principle to sign David de Gea.

United however aren’t expected to let their prize asset leave for less than £65million.

Along with United, Real have been eyeing Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois as a potential target.
And according to the Sunday Mirror, United and Chelsea are facing a transfer battle to secure Donnarumma’s services.

The 18-year-old has yet to sign a new deal with Milan, with his agent Mino Raiola trying to push for a new contract worth around £160,000 a week.

Raiola sees Donnarumma as a legend in the making and Milan, the report suggests could demand £50m for him.
Should that be the case, United would have to smash the world-transfer record to sign the goalkeeper.

Gianluigi Buffon became the world’s most expensive shot-stopper when he joined Juventus from Parma in a £33m deal in 2001
