Barcelona set to appoint this manager as Luis Enrique's successor

BARCELONA are set to name Ernesto Valverde as Luis Enrique's successor, reports claim.

Enrique announced he would leave Barcelona at the end of the season back in March.

The Spain international has enjoyed a successful three years at the Catalan giants, winning eight major trophies.

He can add a ninth if the club pip Real Madrid to La Liga this season.
Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Chelsea's Antonio Conte have both been linked with moves to the Nou Camp.

But Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Athletic Bilbao coach Valverde is in line to take over.

The report claims Barcelona's decision to get rid of goalkeeper Jordi Masip is a clue the Bilbao coach will take the reins.
Valverde wants just two shot-stoppers next season after successfully coping with the same amount at Bilbao this term.

Yago Herrerin left Bilbao earlier this campaign due to injury and Valverde has still managed to steer the Spanish side to sixth in the league table.
