Mbappe has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough campaign a Monaco, scoring 24 goals in 38 appearances.

He's has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid, with Monaco reportedly valuing their teenage sensation at £100million.

And according to The Mirror, Premier League leaders Chelsea turned down the chance to sign Mbappe for just a £17,000 compensation fee back in 2013.
Mbappe, then at French side Bondy, is said to have visited Stamford Bridge as a 14-year-old only to be snubbed by the west London club.

Chelsea reportedly wanted to focus their attention on promoting academy prospects Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham rather than recruit Mbappe.
Solanke, 19, has made just one senior appearance for Chelsea and has only featured for the Blues' Under-23s side this season.

While Abraham, also 19, has been sent out on loan to Bristol City this term and has impressed with 26 goals in 47 appearances.

But Chelsea are likely kicking themselves after missing out on Mbappe, whose goals have helped Monaco to top of Ligue 1 and through to the Champions League semi-finals.
