A penalty by Glenn Murray in the second half looked to have sealed the league title for Brighton in their clash with Aston Villa.

But a late equaliser from Jack Grealish after a mistake from David Stockdale ruined their hopes.

At the bottom of the table, Blackburn were relegated to League One on goal difference after results went against them, despite them beating Brentford 3-1.

Nottingham Forest did what they had to do and won 3-0 over Ipswich at the City Ground.

While Birmingham, managed by Harry Redknapp, beat Bristol City to keep their place in the division.
Elsewhere, the play-off places were already decided before the final day.

But Reading beat Burton 4-2, Huddersfield lost 3-0 to Cardiff, while Fulham beat potential play-off final opponent Sheffield Wednesday 2-1.
