Neymar could leave Barcelona for Manchester United because of Lionel Messi

LIONEL MESSI could ensure Manchester United sign Barcelona star Neymar, according to reports.

Spanish newspaper Sport claim Manchester United are planning to meet Neymar’s £173million release clause.

The Brazil international is said to be wanted at Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho eying summer reinforcements.

United are ready to splash the cash in a bid to entice him to the Premier League.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the deal could happen.
United are prepared to make him the highest-paid player in the country to persuade him to leave the Nou Camp.

It is claimed the Red Devils are confident of landing their man due to Lionel Messi.

While Messi is at Barcelona, Neymar feels he cannot become the club’s talisman.
The relationship between the two has also reportedly grown strained in recent weeks.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol said Messi and Neymar were both at loggerheads over the signing of Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho.

And Barcelona’s No10 was also fuming that Neymar missed their 2-1 defeat to Deportivo because of the birthday of his sister.

Their troubles could be United’s gain with Mourinho planning more marquee additions to his squad.
