Ancelotti was left disappointed by the referee’s display that saw Bayern dumped out of the quarter-finals of the competition at the Bernabeu.

Arturo Vidal was harshly sent off six minutes from time, while Cristiano Ronaldo, who took his tally overall in the competition to 100 goals with a hat-trick, appeared to be offside for his second strike.

Real scored three times in extra-time to progress to the last four with a 6-3 aggregate victory.
Ancelotti revealed his ‘hurt’ after the game.

“Arturo deserved the first yellow, but the second yellow was a mistake by the referee," he said.

“The game we set up very well, played very well. I believe we deserved more.
“Decisions have hurt us a lot.

“I cannot go too far. But the referee had a bad game. Full stop.”
